Washington, DC - Today the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2406, the "Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act," or the "SHARE Act" by a vote of 242 to 161. The SHARE Act is a bipartisan package that is aimed at protecting the rights of sportsmen and women to hunt and fish on public lands.

Dan Benishek, M.D. (MI-1) and Mike Quigley (IL-5) today introduced bipartisan, bicameral legislation to spur Great Lakes funding and research efforts and help support effective fishery management decisions. The Great Lakes Fishery Research Authorization (GLFRA) Act gives the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) the clear legislative authority it needs to support the $7 billion Great Lakes sport and commercial fishery industry.
